Marion was born and raised in Sydney and now lives on the Mornington Peninsula in Melbourne, Australia.MARION PARKER LDRIt was early in life that Marion discovered her love of painting and mixing colours together. However she did not initially follow the path of an artist, but that of a healer.

After the HSC, Marion travelled  to Italy and other cities in Europe, visiting museums and art galleries, which helped cement her passion for Italian Renaissance art, food and culture.

However, (due to health reasons) it seemed she was destined to become a Naturopath and energy healer and became interested in quantum healing and metaphysics.  MelbourneSoul

She became a sought after natural medicine practitioner, with clients ranging from Supreme Court Judges to celebrities like heavy weight champion George Foreman.
She also had several health columns over the years along with her niche radio show on MTR in Melbourne.

After 20 years of practising, she sold her clinics in Sydney and Melbourne. became a published writer and moved to the Mornington Peninsula. It was then she pursued some art lessons for a few years which quickly developed into a full-time art career. Much of her skill and techniques however are self taught and Marion continues to study the old masters on her own.

Her pursuit and interest in other dimensions has only escalated since going full-time as an artist and the practice of daily meditation has enhanced her paintings by connecting with universal energies which elevate her frequency and mind set, and that translates through to the canvas.

Due to her skill base of energy healing, natural medicine and art, Marion has designed Creative One Day Art Workshops for corporate business.

These workshops encourage meditation, relaxation, and enhancement of the right side of the brain, where fun exercises are given to bring out the creative forces within the individual. (See more under Art Classes).

Marion’s style and techniques have progressed over the years, however her use of colour combination is excellent. Her oil abstract paintings are dynamic, vivid and unique.

Marion’s choice of medium is oils, followed by acrylic and mixed media such as charcoal, oil stick, graphite, spray paint, watercolour, gold- leaf, netting and other materials used in collage.

Originally painting animal portraits and remote landscapes (inspired from trips overseas to Canada, Alaska and America), then impressionist style paintings and contemporary subjects, she likes to now paint abstracts which comes naturally to her. NewYork

“My paintings involve an intuitive and energetic flow of colour, texture and fluidity. I paint quickly using fast multi-layered strokes and paint in the moment. I throw paint on…and I scrape paint off! I enjoy painting large statement pieces. I want them to make an impact. I want people to see value in them and I want them to be interesting. I keep working at a canvas  until it is interesting, beautiful and different. I’m inspired by astronomy, ancient cultures, quantum metaphysics, symbolism, modern architecture and design.”

Her soft abstracts and expressionist-style abstracts, can be relaxing and joyful at the same time.
